Supervisors Approve Zoning Amendment, Award Estate Drive Paving Contract

PA WAVERLY — Waverly Township Supervisors advance zoning amendment, approve Estate Drive paving. Chaired by Cheryl Lynn Murnin, the Board unanimously awarded an approximately $65,278 paving contract to H&K for Estate Drive, allocating $62,000 in liquid fuel funds while deferring Park Drive and Stevenson Road improvements to future years. In related business, Supervisors forwarded a comprehensive zoning amendment to the Planning Commission that incorporates religious land-use compliance under RLUIPA, updates use classifications for places of worship and oil/gas extraction, and removes supplemental worship assembly restrictions.
The Board also unanimously approved a $10,000 capital expense for emergency repairs to the Community House Pre-K Plus classroom.
