Supervisors authorize fire service contracts, sewer transfers

PA WAVERLY — Waverly Township Supervisors unanimously approve multi-year fire protection contracts and authorize ongoing sewer fund transfers. The board authorized three-year contracts with Dalton Fire Company at $16,250 annually and Clarks Summit Fire Company at $20,000 annually for fire protection and ambulance services, plus a prior-year $16,250 payment to Dalton. Supervisors also approved quarterly $50,000 transfers from the Township's Sewer account to its General account to cover increased sewer department operating costs.

Additionally, Township Solicitor Malcolm MacGregor was authorized to contact PPL legal counsel and pursue litigation if necessary. The board approved sale of a 2008 dump truck and John Deere front loader to recover equipment funds.
